For many years, vonFrickle was just a mysterious name for a mysterious band I'd heard much about but never heard. I finally heard them at an outdoor festival in the Summer of 2004. For two years before signing them to my label, I was a fan. In fact, vonFrickle is one of my all-time favorite bands.
vonFrickle had produced and self-released several titles before we worked together, so we re-mastered and re-released "Feeding the Organic Computer" and "Mission 4.9", releasing them in October 2006, but the first major achievement for us all working as a team was "Arrythmia", a progressive-rock masterpiece, released in July 2007.
In October 2007, we used our mobile recording rig to record a performance at Bloomington, Illinois' Castle Theater, (now a church). With live production by producer Rollin Weary, and mixed by vonFrickle, the resulting album is titled "The Forty Fingers of Doctor V", one of the great live albums in the progressive-rock genre.
Working with a band as talented and unique as vonFrickle was one of the great thrills of my life. We gave each other mutual credibility, and brought the progressive-rock fanbase across the globe one of the great bands in prog history.
